February Newsletter

February has always been recognized as the “Love” month.  At Joe Jacksons Dog World, Inc.
EVERY day and month is filled with “LOVE” for our Fur Babies and animals of all kind.

HOW DOG WORLD BEGAN
It all started approximately 4½  years ago with a dog named “Sadie”, a mix of many breeds (such as Newfoundland, Brittany Spaniel, Greyhound, Keeshond and Lab.  Sadie arrived at our shop pregnant, and in June 2009 blessed us with a litter of 9 pups.  One of her pups Rufus is still a member of the “Jackson Pack”.  Each day we are reminded of “Sadie” and her loving and playful ways through her son.  Some may remember “Sadie” as she was highlighted as “Up For Adoption” in an article on Fox 6 Online News in December 2010.

On December 18, 2013 Sadie finally got her Forever Home.
Sadie waited 4-1/2 years for her day!  The Duggins Family adopted “Sadie” AND “Molly”, a Beagle Hound mix who had only been at the sanctuary for a month. Sadie waited a LONG TIME for her day, and for Joe Jackson’s Dog World, Inc., her adoption was the best adoption for the year!

We are hoping that 2014 will be full of Forever Homes for all the fur babies at the sanctuary!  Thank you for your support!  We hope you will continue to support our sanctuary throughout the year!
God Bless You!

Work Bee at Sanctuary a big success!

We want to thank the Thompson Middle School Honor Students for their donation drive and for all who volunteered at the work bee held at the sanctuary earlier this month.  We received many donations of all types which all helps in maintaining the rescue.

Thank you again!
Each of you are in our Thanksgiving Prayers.

A GREAT ADOPTION DAY!

Had a great adoption day last Sunday!  Rio, one of the shepherd mixes from the six we took in, was one of the blessed ones!  Along with Stella, Max, Jasmine and Sassy.

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE UM FALCONS!

Joe Jackson's Dog World Inc. sends a heartfelt "Thank You" to Sean Clemmensen, Assistant Coach for the University of Montevallo's FALCONS Volleyball Team.  On September 27th, 2013 the FALCONS hosted a donation drive for the sanctuary which was a GREAT SUCCESS!  The dogs received food, treats, toys, dog beds, food bowls, collars and leashes, and other miscellaneous supplies.  We greatly appreciate all the donations and again send a big shout out to the UM FALCONS!!!

LEVI FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!!!

Congratulations to Katie R. for choosing Levi to join her family.
Katie adopted Levi's new brother Toby from our rescue about a year and a half ago.
I know that Toby and Levi will be best buddies!
I love happy endings... (and beginnings)   :)
