TWO ADOPTIONS TODAY!!!

Today we had TWO adoptions at the Alabaster Petsmart.  Ollie and Licorice found their forever homes.

BUDDY BOY HAS A NEW HOME!

Buddy Boy was adopted yesterday and now has a new mommy and a brother and sister.

We've had a few more adoptions in the past few weeks and I've been so busy I never got them posted... so here is a picture summary!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Adoptions have temporarily been cancelled at Tractor Supply Co. in Montevallo, AL.   I Repeat:
Starting TODAY (4/28/12), we are NO LONGER HOLDING ADOPTIONS AT THE TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY IN MONTEVALLO.
We will still be at the Petsmart in Alabaster for Adoption Clinics on
FRIDAY's from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. AND on
SUNDAY's from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We look forward to seeing you at PETSMART in Alabaster, AL!

4 Adoptions in the last 2 weeks!

We have had two great adoptions in the last week.  And two the week before!

 Ed saw Willow and knew almost immediately that she would be a great addition to his family!

And the first puppy from Meri (formerly Americus) was adopted this past Saturday!

Week before last Hunter & Haylee were adopted!

Adoption Day Moved TODAY ONLY!

Saturdays we usually have adoptions at the Tractor Supply Co in Montevallo, AL, but TODAY ONLY (March 31, 2012) we are going to be having adoptions at the Montevallo High School Athletic Field for FFA Day.  The hours are from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Come out to the Montevallo High School Athletic Field if you are looking to adopt a dog!

BUDDY GOT ADOPTED! YEAH BUDDY!

Here is Buddy with his new mom!  He got adopted on Friday at Petsmart!  So glad he now has a Forever Home.  Hope you have many happy years together!

Another GREAT ADOPTION!

Bear, the GREAT Pyrenees, was adopted on Sunday!  He's got 5 children to love on now!  I know he will be happy with his new family!!!  Thanks Kristy & Cullen, for adding Bear to your family.

A GREAT ADOPTION WEEKEND!

BLAZE was adopted this weekend and was going straight to meet

all of his extended family at a family reunion.

His new family has two boys who play soccer, so he has an active life ahead of him!

May you have many happy years together.

at the rescue and already found a family wanting to give him a forever home.

Adoptions, Adoptions & MORE ADOPTIONS!

A week ago (last Saturday) MAGGIE (one of the walker hound sisters) was adopted at our Tractor Supply Adoption event!  On Friday we saw Maggie with her new daddy at our Petsmart Adoption.  We could easily see that Maggie LOVES her new daddy (who is not the young boy you see in the picture).  We are so happy that Maggie has her FOREVER home!!!

But that's not all....
Today at our Tractor Supply adoption event, both Skye and Eudora found their forever homes too!

We wish you all many years together.

Hachi's been adopted!

Hachi captured the hearts of Joni & Clint and has gone to live with them.  I am so happy for Hachi, and hope he gives his new family much happiness too.  Will miss you Hachi, but I know you'll be over for a visit from time to time, so I will look forward to those times ahead!

ANOTHER ADOPTION!

Duncan was adopted last Saturday at the Alabama Pet Food Adoption Clinic!  Many thanks to Marjo for choosing to give Duncan his forever home! 

TWO ADOPTIONS LAST WEEK!

We are happy to inform you that Baby, one of the pek/pom puppies; and Sapphire, a boxer mix who had been with the rescue since last May, have both found their forever homes!  And if you look closely at Sapphire, her expression on her face is proof positive that SHE THINKS SHE"S GONE TO HEAVEN!  Enjoy your heaven on earth with your new mom and dad Sapphire!

Today we had an adoption day at Alabama Pet Foods in Pelham. We met several people who shop there. We also had an adoption too! Her name was Daisy, a sweet Peek-Pom puppy. We are looking forward to many more adoption days at this store, great people and good pet food.  Please check it out if you are out shopping for pet food.  Bye for now, more next week. :)

TWO ADOPTIONS!

Two of the five Jack Russell Terrier / Dachsund mix puppies were adopted yesterday! 

Howie (the solid brown dachsund looking male)

and Angel (the little girl with the Halo on top of her head)

both found their forever homes. 

Way to go Howie & Angel!!!

The world for that one animal.

I was notified that last year I spoke these words on this day (9-8-10), and this is what i said........."The kindness one does for an animal may not change the world...but it will change the world for that one animal." So a year has passed and I know I made a difference for many dogs lives.  It seems to be a natural thing for me to do. What about your rescues?  Tell me about your past year, I would love to hear your stories.

Lizzy got Adopted!

I found Lizzy and her two sisters a few months ago.  They are beautiful Fox Hounds.  If you google the Fox Hound, there are several with the same markings as Lizzy, including the dark coloring around the eyes. These dogs had been abandoned and left to starve. Maggie and Lizzy look a lot alike, but Maggie is an escape artist.  She can climb fences and unlock gates!  A nice family in the area wanted Maggie, but chose Lizzy instead because of Maggie's fence jumping.  Lizzy's new mom bought her an extra large crate, a new leash, and a big soft bed before they left.  We have a very good feeling about Lizzy's future.
